A ready-to-use herbicide for the selective control of a wide range of woody and semi-woody weeds by basal bark treatment. X tree Basal Wet & Dry is an oil based premix and should not be diluted with any other chemicals. It will not mix with water.

Application:
For use on susceptible woody plants with stems 30cm or less in basal diameter. Apply X-tree Wet & Dry with a low pressure sprayer using a flat-fan nozzle. Apply to thoroughly wet the bark but not to the point of run-off. Application can be made at any season throughout the year, is spraying in winter do not apply if water prevents spraying to the ground line.

Active Ingredient:
Triclopyr as the butoxy ethyl ester, Methyl and Ethyl Esters of Fatty Acids derived from Canola Oil, Hydrocarbon Liquids.

Awesome on agapanthus

Basal X-tree - user friendly and cost-effective

We’ve used Basal X-tree to control barberry, gorse and wilding pines and recommend it. For large old-man barberry, spraying with foliar herbicide takes a long time and and lot of chemical, and chopping it down and painting the stump is a terrible job. X-tree is easy to use and although we ordered a second drum it’s gone further than expected and we ran out of weeds before we ran out of the first drum of spray.

We added marker dye which helps target all the stems on plants and makes it easy for less experienced users to make sure they’ve got good coverage. Knock-down seems to be fast and it’s great to have one product in the sprayer we can easily use on a wide range of weeds, including wilding pines/douglas fir, with a single sprayer on the vehicle. We look forward to buying more.
