PRODUCT INFORMATION
Unistar® is a Fungicide for the control of Foliar Diseases in Wheat and Barley, Stem and Crown Rusts in Ryegrass Seed Crops, Blackspot and Powdery Mildew in Apples, Black Spot in Pears, Powdery Mildew in Winter Squash and Pumpkins, Sclerotinia in Kiwifruit, Brown Rot in Stonefruit (except Cherries), Scab in Citrus and Powdery Mildew in Grapes.
Active Ingredient:
500 g/L Boscalid in the form of a Suspension Concentrate.
What It Controls:
Apples:
- Black Spot.
- Powdery Mildew.
Grapes:
- Botrytis.
- Powdery Mildew.
Application Rates: (important).
Apples.
- Rate: 25 mL per 100 L water (≈500 mL/ha).
- Spray from green tip → 90% petal fall.
- Interval: 7–10 days.
Max:
- 2 consecutive sprays.
- 3 total per season.
Grapes:
- Rate: 75 mL per 100 L water.
- Minimum 750 mL/ha in 500 L water/ha.
- Timing: early flowering → pre-harvest.
- Max: 2 applications per season.
- Must always be mixed with another fungicide from a different mode-of-action group (resistance management).
Safety & Hazards:
- Suspected carcinogen.
- Causes skin irritation.
- Toxic to aquatic life.
- Avoid inhalation, skin, and eye contact.
Key Restrictions:
- Do NOT apply into or onto water.
- Avoid spray drift into waterways.
