Speedy 250 20L Herbicide
PREE20
Active Ingredients:
135g/L PARAQUAT as the Dichloride Salt and 115g/L DIQUAT as the Dibromide Salt in the form of a Coluble Concentrate.
Boom Spraying Water Volumes and Rates:
- Seedlings: 1.9–2.8 L/ha (Boom); 190–280 mL/100 L (Gun); 19–28 mL/10 L (Knapsack); 200–300 L/ha.
- Established Annual & most Seedling Perennials: 2.8–3.7 L/ha (Boom); 280–370 mL/100 L; 28–37 mL/10 L; 300–400 L/ha.
- Established Annual & many Established Perennials: 3.7–5.5 L/ha (Boom); 370–550 mL/100 L; 37–55 mL/10 L; 400–500 L/ha.
- Use Low Pressures (200–400 kPa) to minimise drift; thorough coverage essential.
- Do not use in Mistblowers.
Situations / Guidance:
- Pre‑cultivation/ Pre‑sowing, before Crop Emergence, Inter‑row Weeding (Shield Crop), Orchard/Vineyard Under‑tree Weed Control (avoid young Bark/contact), Berryfruit dormant season basal Cane/Bush application, Forest Nursery Beds, Headlands, Drains (directed spray 750 mL/100 L).
- Can be tank‑mixed with compatible residual soil Herbicides for longer control.
Mixing & Application:
- Use clean water.
- Partly fill tank, add product, then top up; maintain agitation.
- Contains wetting agent — extra wetter usually unnecessary (add non‑ionic wetter in dusty/waxy situations).
Key Restrictions:
- Certified handler / tracked substance; detailed record keeping required.
- Only for agricultural or authorised biosecurity uses (not for amenity/public areas).
- Do not carry on passenger service vehicle.
- Maximum single application and annual total = 4.4 L/ha (equates to 600 g/ha paraquat).
- May be applied once at max rate or split but total must not exceed 4.4 L/ha in any 12‑month period.
- Ground and aerial droplet size requirements (coarse→very coarse).
- Wind limits: do not apply when wind <3 km/h or >20 km/h.
- Not for Mistblowers.
Buffer Zones:
- Larger buffers for Aerial ops and threatened Plants; Aquatic Buffer required at higher rates.
- Application of Speedy 250 requires the utilisation of down-wind Buffer Zones to minimise or eliminate possible off target spray drift into sensitive areas.
- Applicators of Speedy 250 must comply with the following Buffer Zones Distances as shown below.
All Ground‑based Applications: (excluding handheld).
• Rates < 2.9 L/ha.
— Aquatic organisms: Nil.
— Non‑target plants (non‑threatened): Nil.
— Non‑target plants (threatened): 5 metres.
