Hex Plug, Stainless 3/8" BSP.
Description:
● A square head plug is a threaded pipe plug with male threads on one end and a square shaped head on the other end.
● It is a closed off plug that allows no flow and completely closes and seals off a female thread.
Used for:
● A square head plug is used to seal and close off a female threaded fitting or pipe thereby stopping the flow.
● Threaded plugs are commonly used to plug unused female threaded ports.
● Used to protect threaded connections by plugging a female threads.
Advantage:
● The advantage of a square head plug over a round head plug is that they have a square shaped head that provides a secure grip for a wrench.
● This square shaped head can be gripped with a socket tool or wrench and allows for easier installation and removal.
● This also makes these threaded pipe plugs well suited to situations where frequent installation and removal of the plug is required.
To Install:
● Thread the male pipe threads into a female thread of the same size.
● The square shaped head provide a surface that can be gripped by a wrench or socket tool for easier loosening and tightening.
Sizing:
● A square head plug is sized according to the size of the thread it will connect to.
● For Example: a 1/2" threaded plug will thread into a 1/2" female thread.

● These threaded plugs are constructed out of Stainless Steel 304.
