Spraysmart Etho is a selective Herbicide for the control of Ryegrass & Tall Fescue. Spraysmart Etho is a professional‑grade selective Herbicide designed specifically for Perennial Ryegrass and Tall Fescue lawns. With both Pre‑Emergent and Post‑Emergent capabilities, it delivers powerful control of Annual Poa, Summer Grass, and a range of other Broadleaf and Grassy Weeds—without harming your cosol‑season Turf when used correctly. Whether you’re establishing a new Lawn or maintaining an existing one, Spraysmart Etho provides reliable, targeted Weed Control that keeps your Turf clean, healthy, and competition‑free.
Active ingredient:
Ethofumesate 500 g/L in the form of a Suspension Concentrate.
Designed for Barley Grass Control and Weed Control in Turf Ryegrass.
Application Rates: (Use Stage Rate.)
- Pre-emergent at seeding 40 mL in 4–5 L water per 100 m².
- Post-emergent 40 mL per 100 m² in 4–5 L water.
Key Uses:
- Controls Barley Grass in Turf.
- Helps control Weeds during establishment of Ryegrass and Tall Fescue Lawns.
- Can be applied before Ryegrass germination to suppress Weeds while allowing Ryegrass establishment.
- Suitable for Established Perennial Ryegrass and Tall Fescue Turf when used as directed.
Important Notes:
- Keep People and Pets off treated areas until dry (approximately 24 hours).
- May be tank mixed with SpraySmart Meso for some pre-emergent Turf applications.
- Do not add Surfactants.
- Use only clean water above 5°C.
Mixing Instructions:
1 - Partly fill spray tank with clean water.
2 - Start agitation.
3 - Add the required amount of Etho.
4 - Finish filling the tank.
5 - Maintain agitation while Spraying.

- Very toxic to aquatic organisms with long-lasting effects.
- Very toxic in the soil environment.
- Prevent contamination of Waterways, Drains, Streams, and Ponds.

- Do not Eat, Drink, or Smoke while handling the product.
First Aid:
- Swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or the NZ Poison Centre (0800 764 766).
- Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash thoroughly.
- Eye Contact: Flush immediately with water.
- Inhalation: Move to fresh air.
Storage & Disposal:
- Store in the original sealed container in a cool, dry place.
- Keep away from foodstuffs.
- Triple-rinse empty containers and add rinsings to the spray tank.
- Recycle containers through Agrecovery where available.
