PRODUCT INFORMATION
Nuron® is an insecticide for the control of Codling Moth and Leafrollers on Apples and Pears and Potato/Tomato psyllid control in Potatoes.
Active Ingredient:
50g/litre Lufenuron EC.
How It Works:
- Works by disrupting chitin formation in insects.
After ingestion:
- Larvae cannot moult properly.
- Leads to death during development.
Key Point:
- Targets immature stages (nymphs/larvae).
- Not a fast knockdown product.
Target Use: (Main Registered Use).
- Potatoes.
- Control of potato/tomato psyllid (TPP).
Also noted (general product info):
- Effective on TPP nymphs (very high control levels).
Application Guidelines Rate:
- 1 L/ha apply early in the season (preventative) target before or at early infestation.
- Frequency 1–2 applications max per season at 7–10 day intervals, ensure good foliage coverage, an adjuvant is recommended.
Tank Mixing: (Often Used With)
- Knockdown insecticide (if adult psyllids present).
- Compatible with, most insecticides & fungicides.
- Do NOT mix with Foliar fertilisers / nutrient sprays.
Resistance Management:
- Group 15 insecticide.
- Risk of resistance if overused.
Label guidance:
- Max 2 applications per season.
- Rotate with other chemical groups.
Environmental & Use Notes:
- Bee safety, Low risk when applied outside foraging times and once dry.
