Timberwolf 500SC Herbicide 20L (Alternative Gardaprim)

Timberwolf 500SC, an alternative to Terbuthylazine is a Herbicide used for Selective Grass and Broadleaf Weed Control in Forestry, Maize, Sweetcorn, Peas, certain Orchard Crops and long-term non-selective Weed Control in non-crop situations.
Active Ingredient:
500 g/L TERBUTHYLAZINE in the form of a Suspension Concentrate.
Main Uses:
Controls a wide range of Grass and Broadleaf Weeds in:
- Forestry (Radiata pine, Douglas fir, Eucalyptus).
- Established Lucerne.
- Maize.
- Sweetcorn.
- Peas.
- Non-crop areas (Roadsides, Yards, Storage Areas, Waste Areas).
Can also be used as a residual Herbicide, providing extended Weed suppression after application.
How It Works:
- Absorbed primarily through Roots and Shoots.
- Prevents photosynthesis (Photosystem II inhibitor).
- Provides both Pre-emergent and early Post-emergent Weed Control.
- Residual activity remains in the soil for ongoing Control.

Important: Lucerne must be at least 2 years old and completely dormant it is usually treated in mid-winter and mixed with 2–3 L/ha Paraquat.

Controls:

Apply After sowing and before Crop emergence to a freshly worked seedbed.
* Some Fathen populations may be resistant to Terbuthylazine.
Maize & Sweetcorn: (Post-emergence) 3.0 L/ha.
Apply to actively growing weeds before weeds exceed 5 cm in height with a suitable wetting agent.
Peas: 1.5–2.0 L/ha.
Apply after sowing and before emergence.
Non-Crop Areas: 15–20 L/ha.

Rainfall Requirements:
Pre-emergence.
Works best when rain is falling, or rain is expected soon after application. Ideally receive 10 mm rainfall or irrigation immediately after spraying.
Post-emergence do not apply if rain is expected within 3 hours. Rain after 3 hours is generally beneficial.
Mixing & Application:
- Shake container before use.
- Add product to a partly filled tank.
- Maintain agitation throughout spraying.
- Use surfactant in Forestry, Maize and Sweetcorn.
- Compatible with most Forestry and Crop Herbicides.
Soil & Crop Residue Warnings:
Do Not Use On:
- Low organic matter sandy soils.
- Light sandy or silty soils prone to leaching.
Residual Effects:
Terbuthylazine residues may affect sensitive crops planted afterward, including:
- Beans.
- Brassicas.
- Cucurbits.
- Lettuce.
- Tomatoes.
Ploughing and cross-cultivation are recommended before planting sensitive Crops.
Resistance Management:
- Herbicide Group 5 (Triazine).
- Repeated use can select for resistant Weeds.
- Some fathen populations already show resistance.
- Rotate with Herbicides from different mode-of-action groups where possible.

It provides long-lasting Control of many Annual Grasses and Broadleaf Weeds and is particularly valuable where extended residual Weed suppression is required. Care must be taken around Waterways and when planting sensitive follow-on Crops due to its soil residual activity.
