PRODUCT INFORMATION
Exadia® is a selective herbicide for weed control in certain Fruit Crops and Onions.
Active Ingredient:
380g/litre Oxadiazon SC.
How It Works:
- Soil-active (residual) herbicide.
- Forms a barrier in the soil → controls weeds as they germinate.
- Has very little knockdown activity.
Key Implication:
- You must start with a clean, weed-free surface before applying.
What It Controls:
Controls a wide range of:
- Annual Grasses.
- Broadleaf Weeds.
Examples:
- Ryegrass.
- Poa.
- Barnyard Grass.
- Fathen.
- Nightshade.
- Fumitory.
- Oxalis.
- Docks.
- Willow weed.
- Wireweed.
Weak / not controlled:
- Chickweed.
- Pearlwort.
- Rhizomatous Perennials (e.g. couch).
Use Situations:
- Onions.
Fruit Crops:
- Pipfruit.
- Stonefruit.
- Berries / Brambles.
- Typically applied as a directed spray to soil under trees or crops.
Application & Timing:(Key rule)
- Apply before weed emergence (pre-emergence).
Works best:
- On moist soil.
- With rain/irrigation after application.
Residual activity:
- Up to ~6 weeks control.
Crop timing examples:
- Onions ~2 L/ha at 4-leaf stage.
- Fruit Crops ~4 L/ha as directed spray to soil.
Critical Use Rules:
- Do NOT apply onto weeds expecting knockdown.
- Do NOT cultivate soil after spraying (breaks barrier).
- Do NOT incorporate into soil.
- Avoid contact with Crop Foliage/Buds.
Requires:
- Moisture to activate.
- Good soil coverage.

- 90 days before sensitive crops.
Not for:
- Covered Crops.
- Situations where soil will be disturbed soon.
