Active Ingredient:
500g/litre Dicamba (dimethylamine salt).
Key Uses:
- Cereals (wheat, barley, oats).
- Maize.
- Forage brassicas.
- Pasture (mainly spot spraying).
- Turf & non-crop areas.
- Often mixed with MCPA, 2,4-D, or glyphosate to broaden weed control.
Weeds Controlled: (Controls a wide range of hard-to-kill broadleaf weeds, including)
- Californian thistle.
- Ragwort.
- Docks.
- Chickweed.
- Fathen.
- Wireweed.
- Yarrow.
…and many more.
Not effective on:
plantains, fumitory, speedwell, etc.
Typical Application Rates: ( Always follow label for exact situation).
- Cereals: 140–280 ml/ha (with MCPA).
- Maize: 400–600 ml/ha.
- Brassicas: 280–340 ml/ha.
- Pasture (spot spray).
- Thistles: ~100 ml + MCPA.
- Ragwort: 120–140 ml + 2,4-D.
- Turf: ~800 ml/ha + MCPA.
Critical Use Notes:
Spray when weeds are small and actively growing.
Avoid spraying:
- During drought, frost, or stress.
- When rain is expected within ~6 hours.
- Apply at correct crop growth stage only (otherwise crop damage risk).
Crop & Pasture Restrictions:
- Damages clover – recovery can take up to ~2 months.
Do NOT use on:
- Legumes (lucerne, clover, peas).
- Grapes or ornamentals.
Plant-back restriction:
- No legumes for 28 days.
- Grazing withhold grazing for ~2 weeks after spraying.
- Spray drift is a major risk — can damage nearby crops and gardens.
Practical Tips (Field Use).
- Best results = early timing + correct mix partner.
- Use coarse droplets to reduce drift.
- Avoid spraying near Sensitive crops (grapes, vegetables, ornamentals).
