PRODUCT INFORMATION
Cyrus is a systemic insecticide used for the control of aphids in vegetable brassicas, aphids in lettuce (cell transplants), thrips on onions and mealy bugs on non-bearing grapevines or vines destined for removal.(Cyrus an alternative to Confidor.)
Active ingredient:
350 g/L imidacloprid in the form of a suspension concentrate.
What It Controls.
Thrips:
- Onions.
Aphids:
- Vegetable Brassicas.
- Lettuce (cell transplants).
- Brassica (cell transplants).
Application Rates:(Key Table)
- Onions (thrips), 225 mL/ha, water rate 500–600 L/ha, best timing when threshold reached, repeat every 7–10 days, max 4 consecutive sprays per season.
- Brassica transplants (cabbage aphids), 9 mL per 2.5 L water / 1000 plants, apply to trays 1 day before transplanting.
- Lettuce transplants (aphids), 20–30 mL per 2.5 L water / 1000 plants, apply to trays 1 day before transplanting.
Withholding Periods:
- Onions: 7 days.
- Brassicas: 70 days.
- Lettuce: 35 days.
Caution:
Use strictly according to label directions.
