Reducing Bush Stainless 1/4"x1/8"BSP.
Description:
● Stainless steel bushing reducers are threaded reducers with larger external male threads and reduced female threads on the inside of the bushing.
● It resembles a threaded hex plug with larger external threads and smaller internal threads in the center of the bushing.
Used for:
● Pipe bushing reducers are used to reduce the size of a female pipe thread.
● They can also be used in increase the size of a male pipe thread.
● These thread reducers are used to connect pipes and fittings of different sizes together.
Advantage:
●The advantage of a threaded bushing over a coupling reducer is the space saving.
● A hex bushing fits mostly into the female pipe thread with only the hex head and a small portion of the thread protruding.
To Install:
● Thread the larger male thread into a female thread of the same size.
● Thread the smaller female thread onto a male thread of the same size.
Sizing:
● This threaded bushing reducer is sized according the larger external male thread and then by the smaller internal female threads.
● For Example: A 3/4" to 1/2" Bushing will have a larger 3/4" Male thread and a smaller 1/2"female thread.
