Diquat 200SL, 20L

Diquat 200SL is for use as a desiccant in Barley, Green Beans, Lentils, Lucerne, Peas, Red Clover, Soya Beans, Wheat and White Clover and haulm destruction in Potatoes.
Active ingredient:
200g/litre Diquat in the form of a Suspension Concentrate.
What It’s Used For:
Crop Desiccation: (Main Use).
Used before Harvest to dry down Crops like:
- Barley, Wheat.
- Peas, Beans, Lentils.
- Clover, Lucerne.
- Potatoes (Haulm Destruction).
Purpose:
- Speeds up Harvest.
- Reduces moisture.
- Cleans up Weeds in Crop.
Aquatic Weed Control:
- Controls submerged Weeds in, Lakes, Drains, Waterways.
Important:
- Works best on actively growing green tissue.
- Quickly deactivated by mud/silt in Water.
Typical Application Rates: (Key Ones).
- Crops (example – Potatoes) 3–6 L/ha depending on density, Often applied ~14 days before harvest.
- Aquatic use ~ 30 L/ha (product).
General Spray Mixes:
- Often diluted in 300–1100 L water/ha depending on job.
- Always match exact Crop + situation on label.
Critical Safety Points:
- Toxicity.
- Classified as hazardous (DANGER).
Harmful If:
- Swallowed.
- Inhaled.
- Contact with skin/eyes.
This is not a casual-use Chemical.
Water restrictions, After Aquatic application.
Do NOT use water for:
- Drinking.
- Stock.
- Swimming.
Spray Considerations:
- Needs good coverage (contact Herbicide).
Less effective if:
- Plants dusty/muddy.
- Water is dirty/turbid.
Strengths:
- Very fast acting.
- Rainfast quickly.
Excellent for:
- Pre-harvest burn-down.
- Aquatic weed knockdown.
Limitations:
- No root kill → regrowth likely.
- Poor performance in dirty water.
- Requires accurate timing for crops.
