Active Ingredient:
480g/L Mesotrione as a Suspension Concentrate
Rates & Crop Application: (per ha).
- Pre‑emergence Maize (Seedbed immediately after Planting, before Emergence): 350–450 mL/ha.
- Optional mixes to Broaden Spectrum: + Atrazine 600 SC 1.7 L/ha or Atrazine 900 WG 1.1 kg/ha; or + Acetoken 2.3–3.0 L/ha.
- Post‑emergence Maize (Weeds up to 8‑leaf): 150–200 mL/ha.
- Optional Mixes: + Atrazine 600 SC 0.8–1.25 L/ha (or Atrazine 900 WG 0.4–0.7 kg/ha); + Dicamba 500 g/L SL 300–600 mL/ha; + Nicosulfuron 75% WG 80–110 g/ha.
- For Grass Control add Result Spraying Oil 500 mL–1 L/100 L (DO NOT use Methylated Seed Oil or Cationic Surfactants).
- DO NOT use Oil Adjuvant when tank‑mixing with Dicamba or Bromoxynil.
- Forestry/other uses: not labelled — use only for Grain & Silage Maize as above.
Water Volumes & Spray Equipment:
- Boom Spray: 100–300 L/ha (use higher volume for mixes or larger Weeds). Do not use strainers finer than 300 µm.
- Maintain agitation.
PPE: (MINIMUM).
- Cotton Overalls (buttoned), Elbow‑length Impervious Gloves, Boots; Eye Protection if splash risk.
- Wash Protective Clothing after use.
Timing & Intervals:
- Pre: immediately after Planting, before Crop Emergence.
- Post: up to 8‑leaf stage of Weeds.
- Light rain after spray dried usually OK; rain within 3 hours may reduce efficacy.
- If no activating rain within 7–10 days after pre‑emergence, Rotary Hoe.
Crop Safety & Exceptions:
- Not recommended for Popcorn or Sweetcorn (Phytotoxic risk). Transient bleaching may occur under stress but normally outgrown.
Restrictions & Compatibility:
- DO NOT tank‑mix or apply within 7 days of Organophosphate or Carbamate Insecticides.
- Compatible with Pyrethroids.
- Nicosulfuron efficacy may be reduced in some mixes (Yellow Bristle Grass).
Withholding & Residues:
- WHP: Grain Maize and Green Feed/Silage — 70 days from last application.
- Soil Residues: wait ≥6 months before sowing White Clover or Ryegrass; ≥12 months before Legumes (Lucerne, Peas, Red Clover).
- Plough/Cultivate between Crops to disperse residues.
Environmental / Spill / Storage:
- Very toxic to Aquatic Life — avoid contamination and drift.
- Contain spills; absorb with inert material; dispose to approved landfill.
- Store locked, cool, dry.
- Stores ≥100 L require Signage/Emergency Plans.
- Do not carry >10 L on Passenger Vehicles.
First Aid & Emergency:
- If Swallowed: rinse mouth; DO NOT induce vomiting; call National Poisons Centre 0800 POISON (0800 764 766) or doctor.
- Skin: wash with Soap/Water.
- Inhaled: move to fresh air.
- Eyes: rinse.
- Specialist Emergency: 0800 CHEMCALL / 0800 243 622 (24 h).
- Transport Emergency: dial 111.
