PRODUCT INFORMATION
Hortcare Lime Sulphur is used to control Fungal Diseases,Insects and Mites on a range of Horticultural Crops.
Active Ingredient:
200 g/L Sulphur as Polysulphides (soluble concentrate).
Do not use on Animals.
Used To Control:
Fungal Diseases:
- Powdery Mildew.
- Blackspot.
- Rust.
- Brown Rot.
- Insects:
- Scale insects (including San Jose scale and oystershell scale).
Mites:
- Pear Leaf Blister Mite
- Erineum Mite.
- Also controls Moss and Lichens.
Suitable For Use On:
- Kiwifruit.
- Apples and Pears.
- Peaches.
- Grapes.
- Deciduous Fruit Trees.
- Roses and Tolerant Ornamentals.
Application:
- Apply using high-volume spray equipment with thorough coverage.
- Mix into a partly filled spray tank while agitating, then top up with water.
- Do not apply if rain is expected within 6 hours.
Withholding Period:
- 1 day before harvest.
Important Restrictions:
- Do not mix with other Pesticides.
- Do not apply oil sprays within 14 days (or 7 days for some dormant applications) of treatment.
May Damage Sensitive Plants:
- Can cause russeting on apples and pears during the growing season.
- Do not use on apricots or other sulphur-sensitive plants.
- Avoid applications at or after bud burst where specified.
- Some apple varieties (e.g. Braeburn) are especially susceptible to fruit and leaf damage.
Typical Use Rates (Examples from the label):
- 20 mL per 1.5 L water (about 4 teaspoons).
- 5 mL per 1 L water.
- 100 mL per 1.5 L water for some dormant treatments.
- The correct rate depends on the crop, pest or disease, and season.
Safety Hazards:
- Causes serious Eye damage.
- Causes Skin Irritation.
- Harmful to terrestrial vertebrates.
- Do not apply directly to water or contaminate waterways.
Personal protective equipment (PPE):
Wear:
- Face Shield or Goggles.
- Rubber Gloves.
- Overalls.
- Wash hands and protective clothing after use.
Storage and Disposal:
- Store in the original, tightly closed container in a cool, dry place.
- Keep away from children and food.
- Shelf life is approximately 2 years when stored correctly.
- Triple-rinse containers and recycle through AgRecovery where available.
First Aid:
Eyes:
- Rinse immediately with water for several minutes and contact a doctor or Poison Centre immediately.
Skin:
- Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Seek medical advice if irritation develops.
