Fostonic Fungicide 80WP 1kg (NDG) Fosetyl

Fostonic 80WP is a fungicide for the control of Phytophthora in Apples, Ornamentals and non-bearing Kiwifruit, Pomefruit, Avocados and Citrus. Systemic activity with rapid penetration and translocation.
Active ingredient:
800g/kg fosetyl-aluminium WP
What It Controls:
- Controls Phytophthora diseases.
Used on:
- Apples / Pipfruit.
- Citrus.
- Avocados.
- Ornamentals.
- Non-bearing kiwifruit.
How It Works:
- Rapidly absorbed via leaves and roots.
- Translocated throughout plant tissue.
- Also stimulates plant defence mechanisms.
Application Guidelines:
- Best used as a preventative treatment.
- Can also provide some curative activity.
- Applied as a high-volume foliar spray to runoff.
- Thorough coverage is essential.
Example Rates (from label).
- Ornamentals: 250–500 g per 100 L.
- Apples: ~250 g per 100 L.
Timing:
- Spring applications (multiple sprays).
- Autumn applications post-harvest for protection.
Safety & Handling:
- Corrosive – causes serious eye damage.
Harmful if:
- Swallowed.
- Inhaled.
- Absorbed through skin.
PPE Required.
- Gloves.
- Goggles.
- Overalls.
- Protective footwear.
Environmental Warning:
- Very toxic to aquatic life.
- Avoid contaminating waterways.
Compatibility:
Do NOT mix with:
- Nitrogen-based foliar fertilisers.
- Copper sprays.
- Oil-based sprays.
Withholding Periods:
- Example: Apples – 100 days before harvest.
