Delicia® SLUGGOFF® Lentils have been specifically developed to help in the fight against all active stages of the snail and slug lifestyle cycle including juveniles.
Active ingredient:
30 g/kg metaldehyde in the form of a granular bait.
Controls of Slugs and Snails in:
- Arable Crops.
- Vegetables.
- Pasture Establishment.
- Vineyards.
How It Works:
- Has stomach + contact action.
Causes:
- Heavy mucus secretion.
- Dehydration → death.
- Works relatively quickly compared to iron baits.
Application Rates: (Key Label Rates).
- Broadacre Crops (cereals, pulses, oilseeds) 3 kg/ha (30 g/100 m²).
- Horticulture / Vegetables / Vineyards 6 kg/ha (60 g/100 m²).
- Pasture Establishment 3 – 6 kg/ha.
Apply:
- Pre-plant.
- Pre-emergence.
- Early post-emergence (≤4 leaf).
Application Method:
- Broadcast evenly over soil surface.
Can be:
- Ground spread.
- Aerial applied.
- Drilled with seed.
Critical:
- Do NOT apply in heaps.
- Even distribution = performance.
Best Timing: (Apply when)
- Moist / damp conditions.
- After rain or irrigation.
Avoid:
- Application just before heavy rain.
- Slugs/snails most active in these conditions → better bait uptake.
Withholding Periods:
- Horticulture: 7 days before harvest.
- Broadacre crops: 8 weeks before harvest.
Grazing:
- 5 weeks withholding for pasture/crops.
