Cut’n’Paste MetGel — Easy Guide for Home Gardeners
What it is:
A ready‑to‑use weed‑killing gel that you dab directly onto the weed. It contains **metsulfuron‑methyl**, which is great for tough woody weeds and plants like ginger, privet, gorse, broom, and agapanthus.

How to Use It
1. For cut stems or stumps
- Cut the weed near the ground.
- Immediately squeeze a thin layer of gel over the whole cut surface.
- The plant will slowly die over a few months.
- If anything grows back, just reapply.
2. For leafy weeds
- Lift a leaf and expose the underside.
- Brush a little gel onto the underside.
- The plant will stop growing and die over 3–6 months.
What It Works On
Great for:
- Privet
- Buckthorn
- Wild ginger
- Arum lilies
- Agapanthus
- Gorse
- Broom
Not good for:
- Tobacco weed
- Datura
